Wingspan Learning began with two teachers, a shared belief, and countless conversations about how we want children to learn. Our Teaching Philosophy

The meaning of growth often becomes clear only when we look back.

We have always believed that education isn't about chasing instant progress. It's about walking alongside children, day by day, one small step at a time.

Sometimes a concept learned today, a hard problem solved, or a little extra courage can seem like small things.

But we believe that every practice, every try, and every time a child doesn't give up quietly builds the strength to grow.

As Steve Jobs said: “You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards.”

Education is the same.

A child's growth isn't always visible from one day to the next, but it is always happening.

It happens in a teacher's persistence, in a child's effort again and again, in every moment a parent is there, and in every class, every problem and every small breakthrough we share.

Until one day we suddenly notice that a child no longer counts on their fingers to find the answer, that a child who was too shy to raise a hand now speaks up with confidence, and that problems which once felt hard are now solved on their own.

In that moment we realize —

without even noticing, we have already walked a long way together.

This is the teaching philosophy we hold on to.

We don't rush to see results, because every child has their own timeline.

We never overlook a small step forward, because every step counts.

And the ordinary progress of today will one day become the most meaningful path of growth a child sees when looking back.

A fun Wednesday afternoon filled with hands-on discovery, creative projects, and small-group learning!

Dates: Sep 9 – Dec 16, 2026 · Wed 1:30–4:20 PM PT

Tuition: $100 per class, all project materials and snack included

• Science Discovery: child-friendly science lessons and demos
• Hands-On STEM Project: design, build, test and improve
• Snack & Break: time to recharge and connect with friends
• Self Academic Practice: independent practice with teacher support
